The Sopranos Finally Gets Its Own Funko Pops

Iconic main characters from the HBO television series The Sopranos have finally gotten their own Funko Pops, which will be made available this winter.

Characters from HBO’s The Sopranos are finally getting Funko Pops. The Emmy Award-winning mob show has recently received newfound attention during the COVID-19 pandemic, with many viewers discovering the series for the first time during the lockdown. The feature film prequel The Many Saints of Newark has also contributed to a spike in viewership for the show after the movie over-performed on HBO Max, despite underperforming at the box office. All told, The Sopranos remains one of the most well-received shows of all time

To capitalize on the show’s recent success, Funko has announced a brand new lineup of POP! collectibles on Twitter, featuring fan favorite main characters from The Sopranos. Tony Soprano, Carmela Soprano, Silvio Dante, and Christopher Moltisanti will be made available on December 27. Paulie Gualtieri in a tracksuit will be available exclusively on Funko’s website, while Tony with a duck is an Amazon exclusive. Check out the announcement below:

As mentioned above, The Sopranos has been a surprise pandemic hit. During that time, the show gained new fans, who are now clamoring for more Sopranos-related content, especially after The Many Saints of Newark was filled with references for fans to enjoy. Regardless of the future of the series – if there is one – it’s still quite exciting to see that the characters are finally getting Funko Pops. This confirms that the show remains a pop culture staple. Perhaps they will cause The Sopranos to regain another bout of interest, thus fueling another prequel movie exploring events from before Tony became a fully-fledged crime boss.
