William Christopher, best known to fans of classic sitcoms as Father Mulcahy on โMAS*Hโ has ๐๐๐๐after losing a ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐จ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ. He was 84.
His son, John Christopher, confirmed to ABC Eyewitness News that his father ๐ก๐๐ค๐ค๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐-๐๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ค๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ at his home in Pasadena, California, New Yearโs Eve morning.
Christopher began his acting career on the stage in various regional productions and eventually on Broadway in the British revue, โBeyond the Fringe.โ A move from New York to Hollywood led to guest appearances on many popular shows of the 1960s, like โThe Andy Griffith Show,โ โThe Patty Duke Show,โ โGomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.,โ โThat Girl,โ โHoganโs Heroes,โ โThe Love Boat,โ and, later on, โ๐๐ฆ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฃ, She Wrote,โ โMad About Youโ and โThe Odd Couple.โ
His big break, however, came in 1972 when he joined the cast of the Korean ๐๐๐ฃ comedy โMAS*Hโ as Father Mulcahy, and later took the role to the seriesโ spinoff โAfterMASHโ in 1983.
He later appeared in the films โThe Fortune Cookie,โ โThe Shakiest Gun in the Westโ and โWith Six You Get Egg Roll,โ to name a few.
