Envisioned by Vince Gilligan, Breaking Bad is a crime drama, depicting the transformation of a chemistry teacher into a drug lord in Albuquerque. The twisted storylines, coupled with complex characters and a bleak setting make this series a must-watch for everyone all around the world.

The critically acclaimed series released its second season in 2009, which continued the events of the season 1 finale. After getting back in the crystal meth business, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman now have to deal with Tuco Salamanca – a psychopathic hothead who can do anything to get what he wants. In this list, we are going to rank every episode from the second outing of Breaking Bad.

“Down” (8.3)

In the fourth episode of season 2, Jesse, after losing all his drug money, goes to Walt for help. It doesn’t end there, as Jesse is also told to vacate his premises. Moreover, Walt tries to mend things with Skyler but it’s not going to be easy, especially after he disappeared quite recently.

After trying to get closer to Skyler, Walt eventually gives up but is absolutely livid to find Jesse’s RV parked next to his house. They have a fight that eventually ends with Walt giving Jesse some money.

“Bit By A Dead Bee” (8.4)

In the third episode of season 2, Walt and Jesse, after running away from the crime scene (Tuco killed), try to get their story straight. Walt is able to make up a story, while Jesse tries to hide from the local police.

Finally, though, Hank is able to interrogate Jesse and he denies any involvement in the crime. Meanwhile, Hank is greeted at the DEA office and hailed as a hero.

“Breakage” (8.4)

In the fifth episode of season 2, there still remains some uneasiness between Skyler and Walt, while Hank feels the effects of the shootout with Tuco Salamanca. Moreover, Jesse decides to step up and he uses his contacts to get the product moving.

The money is needed by both Jesse and Walt and this time, they will be extra careful.

“Over” (8.6)

In the tenth episode of season 2, after hearing the news of Walt’s recovery, the White family decides to host a party but it leads to a fight between Hank and Walt.

Moreover, Jane tries to hide her relationship with Jesse from her father, while Skyler opens up to her boss Ted about Walt’s degrading mental state.

“Seven Thirty-Seven” (8.7)

The first episode of season 2 picks up exactly where season 1 left the viewers – Tuco collecting Meth from Walt and Jesse. They discuss the dangers of being involved in business with a psychopath like Tuco before they agree that they need the money.

But little did they know that this might put their lives in danger. Hank’s new crime scene pic sends both Walt and Jesse into a frenzy as they try to protect themselves.

In the seventh episode of season 2, after taking care of things, rumors start to fly around about Jesse and that makes Walt’s business more feared.

Moreover, Jesse meets her new landlord, Jane, while Skyler decides to take up a job opportunity. Hank struggles to deal with life at El Paso.

Skinny Pete gets robbed and Jesse decides to take care of it, but he quickly finds himself in a precarious situation. Skyler thanks Gretchen for paying for Walt’s treatment but the latter is surprised, to say the least.

“Mandala” (8.9)

In the eleventh episode of season 2, Walt and Jesse look at alternate distributing methods and Saul Goodman suggests one. Jane finally gets to know about Jesse’s profession and that leads to some misunderstanding.

Also, Skyler discovers some secrets about Ted’s company and confronts him about it.

“4 Days Out” (9.1)

In the ninth episode of season 2, Walt and his family wait for news regarding Walt’s cancer treatment. Thanks to some sound advice from Saul Goodman, Walt decides to make the most of his time and continues to cook as much product as he can.

He takes Jesse out for a “Marathon Cook” but everything isn’t as lousy as the partners thought it might be.

“Better Call Saul” (9.2)

In the eighth episode of season 2, Badger finds himself in legal trouble, which means Walt and Jesse go to Saul Goodman (a law attorney) for help.

Meanwhile, Hank returns from El Paso but his mental state hasn’t improved one bit. Furthermore, the DEA gets a huge lead as they chase the ultimate drug kingpin – “Heisenberg.”

“Grilled” (9.3)

In the second episode of season 2, things pick up pace as Walt is kidnapped by Tuco and Hank goes on the search for his brother-in-law. Skyler is asked a few questions from the police about the disappearance of her husband, while Tuco takes Jesse and Walt to an abandoned house in a desert.

While Walt and Jesse look for solutions, they somehow manage to wound Tuco and run away. Right then, Hank shows up on the scene and it leads to a tense confrontation.

“Phoenix” (9.3)

In the penultimate episode of season 2, after being able to deliver meth to Gustavo Fring, Walt understands that Skyler has given birth to his daughter.

Meanwhile, Jesse’s drug addiction spirals out of control as he continues to remain high, along with Jane, which isn’t good for their business. Also, Walt Jr. launches a website to aid his family’s money problems.

“ABQ” (9.3)

In the season 2 finale, Jesse is absolutely devastated to know that Jane has died of an overdose. Mike Ehrmantraut comes to take care of the situation.

Jane’s father is overwhelmed and that leads to an unfortunate airplane incident. Furthermore, Skyler finally gets to know about Walt’s secret.
