Season 6 – Everything You Should Know

Most people say Walter White is the best chemistry teacher they’ve ever had and that they’d give anything for another lesson

Breaking Bad: Season 6 is the most demanded next installment of any show ever – aside from, well, Game of Thrones: Season 9 – but with Mr. White dying in the finale, Pinkman now off to Alaska, and the Gilliverse resting, is another season even possible?

Breaking Bad: Season 6 hasn’t officially been confirmed. The El Camino movie served as an epilogue to the whole saga, but with Pinkman still alive by the end of it, there’s a strong chance we haven’t seen the last of him yet. If you’re looking forward to a sixth season, here’s everything you need to know about it –just take it with a grain of salt though.

When Is Breaking Bad: Season 6 Coming Out?

At the moment, Breaking Bad: Season 6 does not have a release date. The show was never renewed after the fifth season ended in 2013 and even though a decade has passed since, unfortunately, there’s no word whether there will be a sixth season.

Having said that, creator Vincent Gilligan has mentioned quite a few times he’d like to expand the Gilliverse, albeit not in the near future, so it might be a very long time, but sooner or later fans should get their wish. Also worth mentioning is that if the story of Jesse Pinkman is continued, it’ll be as a spin-off sequel series and not Breaking Bad: Season 6. Nevertheless, it’s a small price to pay for the revival of an all-time fan-favorite series.

What Could Breaking Bad: Season 6 Be About?

Pinkman’s somewhere in Alaska, living with his head down and keeping clean, that’s what the ending of El Camino implied anyway, but knowing how drug trade stories tend to go, his past should catch up to him.

Personally, we expect Breaking Bad: Season 6, or whatever the sequel series is named, to follow that course and drag Pinkman into the spotlight once again. Alternatively, odds are equally bright for there to be a House of the Dragon style prequel focussed on other notorious characters from the series like Gus. The ball could land in any court but Pinkman’s return is what we’ll put our money on.

Breaking Bad: Season 6 Cast

Walter died in the series finale, and apart from flashbacks, there’s no chance we’ll see him in any other form. Furthermore, keeping in mind that Breaking Bad: Season 6 will focus on Pinkman’s storyline, there’s only a handful of cast members that should return. Here’s who fans can expect to see reprise their roles.

  • Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman
  • Anna Gunn as Skyler White
  • RJ Mitte as Walter White Jr.
  • Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman
  • Betsy Brandt as Marie Schrader

Where To Watch Breaking Bad in the US

If Breaking Bad: Season 6 ever does get announced, viewers living in the US should expect to stream it either on Netflix or watch it on AMC via cable.

When Breaking Bad aired from 2008 to 2013, it ran on AMC for all five seasons. Times have changed as of late, streaming services have made it big and more people prefer watching shows on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime than on plain old cable. Breaking Bad: Season 6 airing on AMC isn’t totally out of the question, it’s unlikely, but until further notice, you should assume nothing’s final.

Where To Watch Breaking Bad in the UK

Like the US, Breaking Bad: Season 6 will be available to watch either on Netflix or AMC in the UK.

Again, there’s no knowing which path the next season chooses, but with streaming services being the leading TV show outlets these days, Netflix might be the right call.

How Many Episodes Could Breaking Bad: Season 6 Have?

A Breaking Bad: Season 6 would be about 7 episodes long if history is anything to go by.

While the last season had more, 16 to be exact, a potential sixth season will likely be shorter. One reason why we think that is that if the series were to return with a new plot, it would be extremely concise. Stretching Breaking Bad: Season 6 longer than it needs to be would ruin what’s arguably the greatest TV show of all time, so yeah, 7 episodes are likely – 13 if we’re lucky.

Does Breaking Bad: Season 6 Have A Trailer?

No, Breaking Bad: Season 6 does not have a trailer. Better Call Saul’s series finale in 2022 is the latest piece of footage from the Gilliverse. With no other spin-off, film, or sequel series having been greenlit since, there’s no trailer for fans eagerly awaiting more.

However, if any other show just can’t scratch that itch left behind by Breaking Bad for you while you wait, we’d recommend checking out Dexter: New Blood. More mayhem always seems to do the trick.
